A brand identity for the fashionably inclined

To address the Australian Style Institute’s (ASI) lack of branding and marketing assets, Digital Tonic became one of the team. We immersed ourselves in the company – getting to know the business inside out and identifying the key selling points that set it apart from the competition.

The end result was a timeless visual identity for ASI – capturing the elegance of the fashion industry, while still appealing to a young tech-savvy audience.

In addition to their branding requirements, ASI also needed a website to promote its courses and an online student portal that could house all the training materials. We designed and built a sleek, easy-to-navigate website and the student-only resource centre is now recognised as Australia’s most comprehensive online collection of information for professional stylists. And of course, to be readily available for students on the go, we developed an app for the portal.

Key challenges:

  • Developing a brand identity and key value proposition for ASI.
  • Positioning ASI as a credible thought leader that’s also a cut above the competition.
  • Achieving a style for the digital and print assets that appealed to people interested in fashion, while also maintaining the sales focus required to sell the courses.

With the branding in place, the website successfully launched and the portal a hub of student activity, we continue to work with ASI. As well as monitoring new technologies to improve their digital assets, we also recently assisted with a microsite to support their lead capturing events. It’s these types of ongoing and evolving client relationships that we absolutely love.
